The Secret coffee table

The shapes of ''The Secret'' coffee table evoke the years of Prohibition in our times, however, inspired by the most modern architectural forms around today's man, it hides one of the vices that still very much characterizes him.

The metal sheets used are polished golden brass, brass splashes of gold and burnished brass; all with a thickness of mm 8 except for the center tray and the inner tray of mm 10. The plates are cut and press formed to obtain the hemispheres. Once shaped and cut, the parts will be welded together with internal welding points to preserve the refined aesthetics of the coffee table. The textured half-sphere is obtained from a single sheet, 8 mm thick, by customizing it with the WaterJet CNC numerical control carving or fiber laser technique and then press-formed into a half-sphere creating the ''casket'' effect. The upper part of the tray is characterized by the contrast of polished material and with a 45-degree edge carving allows access to the lower supported shelf of 10 mm thickness on which to accommodate liquor bottles and glasses.
The complex of shapes created is elegant and sober, suggesting an assesting interest in any context. ''The Secret'' is a small table that offers maximum comfort through its particular design and refined elegance through its workmanship and refined materials.
''The Secret'' is placed on an interplay of curved and welded mm ϕ 8-thick tubular bars that strictly follow the lines of roundness, but creating an illusion of suspension in the air and lightness.
